What it is. Live tracker of US import-refusal trends from the public FDA Import Refusal Reporti FDA Import Refusal = an entry FDA examined and refused admission into US commerce, most often for appearing adulterated or misbranded under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Hazard refusal — the charge names a safety finding: a pathogen, toxin, residue or other hazard in the product itself. Paperwork refusal — the charge is a labelling or registration failure, with no hazard finding against the product. Import division — the FDA division that processed the entry and issued the refusal. The FDA Import Refusal Report is the public dataset FDA publishes for entries refused admission. This dashboard pulls that data weekly and republishes it; it is not an FDA product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by FDA. . How to use. The default lens is per $1B YoY Δ ⭑ — change in rejection density vs the same period one year ago, with US-import value as the denominator (so a country that simply trades more doesn't dominate). Pick a period and a category (or subcategory) to scope the comparison; switch Color by to fall back to absolute counts or the simpler % deltas when you need them.
